Flat Fee Traffic Representation & Payment of Court Costs
I handle traffic infraction cases on a flat-fee basis.
• My fee is $250, paid up front. This covers:
o Review of your case
o Communication with the prosecutor
o My appearance in court on your behalf
Because contingency fee arrangements are prohibited in criminal and traffic cases, this $250 fee is non-refundable, even if an amendment, diversion, or dismissal is not granted.
Additional Costs if Diversion or Amendment Is Granted
If the prosecutor approves an amendment or diversion, additional government fees and fines will apply. These are separate from my attorney fee and must be paid directly to the court or city.
• Douglas County District Court (Diversion)
o Additional fee: $208
o Fine: the fine printed on your ticket
o Total government charges: $208 + ticket fine
o Example: If the ticket fine = $90 → $298 total
• Municipal Court (Amendment)
o Additional fee: $63.50
o Fine: double the fine printed on your ticket
o Total government charges: $63.50 + (2 × ticket fine)
o Example: If the ticket fine = $90 → $243.50 total
Payment Procedure
• Card on file: You authorize me to charge the credit/debit card you place on file for the above government fees and fines if diversion or amendment is granted.
• No duplication: Your $250 attorney fee is paid up front and is not included in these charges. The card will only be charged for the court/city costs and fines.
• Automatic processing: To avoid delays in your case, I will process these charges automatically if diversion or amendment is granted.
Client Authorization
By submitting this form and credit/debit card payment, you are agreeing: I authorize the Clarke Law Office to charge my card on file for all government fees and fines necessary to obtain and complete a traffic diversion (District Court) or traffic amendment (Municipal Court), in the amounts listed above. I understand my $250 attorney fee is separate, paid up front, and non-refundable. I agree that the firm may process these government charges immediately upon approval of diversion or amendment without further notice, and will provide me with an itemized receipt.

If you hold a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or if your citation occurred in a school zone or construction zone, please contact my office before submitting this form or making payment. These cases may involve different rules and potential consequences that require special review.
